Dr. Kentley Dean was born and raised right here in Hope Mills, NC. After graduating from the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017, she was excited to return home and join the team at Southern Oaks Animal Hospital, where she enjoys caring for the pets and horses in the community she knows and loves.

Dr. Kentley Dean's passion for animals extends to both small animal and equine medicine. As a mixed-animal veterinarian, she enjoys the variety each day brings and values the relationships she builds with both her patients and their owners.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Kentley Dean is actively involved in breeding and showing Arabian horses across the country and has proudly earned multiple national championships over the years. When she's not working, you'll likely find her at the barn spending time with her mares and foals, enjoying a ride, or relaxing with her beloved pets—family Boxer Pippa, and her cat, Henle.
