Physical Therapy

Picture
Rehabilitation Therapy uses non-invasive treatment to rehabilitate acute and chronic injured patients (arthritis, surgery, muscle/soft tissue injuries, etc.), the goal of therapy is to return your pet to it's normal function and restore the full range of movement and strength as quickly as possible.
Using a heated underwater treadmill, laser treatment, balance boards and balls, exercise, heat, cold, massage, hydrotherapy, etc. will speed healing, relieve pain, and improve the likelihood of a full recovery.
Facilities and Equipment

  Heated, Underwater Treadmill
Underwater Treadmill goals are to dramatically speed up recovery from orthopedic and neurological surgery or injury. The water provides a
comfortable workout by causing a resistance and reducing weight on the pets joints. Combined with the correct speed and warmth your pet
will enjoy a low impact walk so they can recover quickly. The comfortable workout is also a great way to boost your pet's weight loss program.

  Laser Treatment
Laser treatment increases the blood flow to the area which will reduce healing time, reduce swelling, and reduce pain.

  Balance Balls and Boards
Using the balance boards or balance balls to exercise will improve the pet's balance and proprioception, or the pet's sense of knowing where
their body part is, for example knowing where and how to place their foot on the ground.  They also help with range of motion, flexibility,
      and building muscle tone.

   Physio EC
Just as in humans, Physical therapy works best if your do a little therapy everyday, we are excited to provide you with simple exercises you can
do at home so your pet never falls behind.  Your pet's physical therapy veterinarian can customize a full home plan with videos, explanations,
photos, and demonstrations for you and your pet to work on between their visits with us.
